ACEA: BEV registrations surge by 49%

234,532 battery-electric cars were newly registered in the EU in March, according to the industry association ACEA, marking a 48.9 per cent increase compared to the same month last year. Battery-electric vehicles also saw significant growth in the first quarter overall—approximately one in five new cars in the EU was electric.
